The atmosphere at PSI is more like an artists’ retreat than a conventional institute; one that encourages socializing, but does not require it. Guests, unless specifically arranged to stay in the main house, have their own private cabin to which they can retreat at any time. Each evening, residents meet in the social spaces to eat, play games, watch films, and discuss ideas.
We have two branches of PSI.
Maui: About nine miles up the Haleakala Highway from Kahului Airport (OGG). We can usually work with guests to arrange a pickup if necessary. Renting a car during your visit provides maximal independence, but there are grocery stores within walking distance, as well as a nearby bus stop that runs to other parts of the island.
Utah: About 15 minutes south of Salt Lake City. We are 15 minutes from Snowbird, 25 to Solitude, and 45 to Park City. We can usually work with guests to arrange a pickup if necessary. Renting a car during your visit provides maximal independence.
